At our friends farm we are clearing out a spot to make a nice campsite. The site is full of overgrown stickers and poison, and we had to remove several sections of barbed wire fence. The property line is the fence in the back that holds livestock, so we obviously can’t pull that one out.
Gregor wanted to remove what he calls “widow makers”, the dead limbs hanging over us. I did not think the ladder he brought would reach the limb but to my surprise, it did. I forgot to film the actual cutting of the limb, maybe because I was a little nervous for him and watched with concern. The limb came off and it landed point-first in the ground, which then took a weird catapult/bounce action…. right back towards the ladder! It barely missed the ladder.
The wood is cut up and a ton of brush and debris removed, but it still needs more work to fight off the impending stickers and ivy. Gregor looked like he was in a battle he was so full of scratches and poison ivy.
That night was a worm moon, a full moon bright and close to the earth. I still need practice on the night time photography.
