I finished clearing the second half of the campsite floor of tripping hazards, which is back breaking work with all that bending over. Glad it’s spring and not too hot yet. Enough debris is cleared to camp, but a lot of poison ivy still remains on the peripheral. This week we erected the table. Gregor finished a slab of wood to use as a table top and it looks beautiful, and I just love it!
Also this week I finally got to see the wildflowers in bloom in the lower field. I’ve been checking on it for weeks. When I approached it for the first time it was breathtaking and magical looking. The photos just don’t do it justice. I hope to come back next week and take better photos if the purple flowers are still around.
This is also the first time letting the dog run free, even without that big, heavy radio collar on his neck. It is heart warming to see him frolic through the field at the end of this video.
