At the beginning of the year I was feeling quite ambitious and really looking for a new years resolution. I quietly picked “a photo a day” as my project, but never really felt that connected to it. About mid-January I realized I was not a photographer. This would be a great challenge for someone aspiring to be a photographer, so I decided to not be so hard on myself and let that challenge go.
I found this article by Troy Church about sketching. I am a designer, and I strive to better myself as a designer. This challenge seems more suited to my career ambitions and I simply love the idea of it. I think instead of carrying my camera with me everywhere I go, maybe I will try carrying a sketchbook instead.

UPDATE DECEMBER 29, 2014:
Almost a year has gone by and I have not sketched one single thing. Taking a moment to reflect on how I want to spend and direct my time. Maybe I should stick to something like 1 blog post per day, since I am web designer working on her analytics stats.
