This button is another way of monetizing creators for content. My thoughts on monetizing creators for content I guess is a liberal one. I think this type of subscription model really works and is the way of the future. You will see this more and more.
As long as the “join” feature is offering me exclusive content, then I can withstand the subscription model. In this way it’s like the Patreon model.
See my previous post about the new Super Thanks button, another way to monetize content on YouTube. I like this monetization method better because I can choose different tip amounts to support the differing levels I value that I found the content to mean to me.
Why shouldn’t content creators be paid? They should! Creating content is extremely hard work. The hardest part is being consistent. Coming up with new content on a regularly scheduled basis is where creators will succeed.
Dear YouTubers, begging for subscribers is getting old, by the way. As a viewer, I’m tired of hearing it. Yes, I know you want me to hit the subscribe button. Shut up about it already.
