Why is my bass guitar video so popular on YouTube shorts? Also popular among friends? It tells a story, I guess, even if the story is simply, I got a bass guitar for Christmas. I think also the viewing of opening the gift is a very specific point of time that conveys that story and it was authentic, not staged. The story could also be, she got a bass guitar and immediately became a star because of the wardrobe change. I like that story!
How do I find more stories? Start cataloging STORY ideas, not song ideas, not lyrics. Then the stories can be multi-universal, meaning each story can be told via a poem, song, or video short. That could be my discipline? I concoct a story idea, then tell that same story multiple times through different mediums? Why? because I like all the mediums! Or at least I could go through mediums to decide not just which one I like best, but which ones am I good at.
Isn’t that what I’m always searching for? Always searching for what I’m good at without actually feeling if I like it myself or not? Is it a form of searching for validation from other people? Is that really a bad thing? What I want is to be adored by many. Well doesn’t everyone want that, or no? Is it because I’m a Leo?
FIND STORY IDEAS
Story ideas that are universal to everyone, NOT just dog owners. NOT just musicians, or people who drink alcohol… what are topics that are universal to everybody? You know, love, sex, but not hate, don’t glorify hate nobody got time for that. Find topics about feelings? Isn’t that harder for someone who has alexithymia? yep but don’t get caught up in a label that will hold you back, you never have so prove that wrong.
Find story ideas, especially ones that give you goosebumps. Did the bass video give you goosebumps? A little, yes. When I woke up with the idea I was motivated enough to get out all the lighting equipment and setup in the living room, know what a drag it is to have to then put all that stuff away.

Hey if you’re going to participate in 52frames, then why drag all the lighting back down to the basement? Why not keep the lighting WITH your camera gear, duh. Wouldn’t that make it more accessible, and thus promote using it more?
Habits
It’s a new year, what’s your habits going to be? WORKING OUT for sure because your shoulders are so fucked up you can’t play the new bass. We’re going to fix that.
Writing
I’ve said it for years I’m going to write. So by God do it. Write everyday something. That’s your habit.
