:::ALTITUDE:::
Acclimating by spending the night before at altitude is the best way to minimize the risks. Note: Mammoth Lakes is at 8,000 ft vs Bishop’s 4,100 ft elevation
:::LOCATION:::
RCPS is located at 9001 Rock Creek Rd, approximately 9.2 miles off of Hwy 395 between the towns of Bishop and Mammoth Lakes, CA. If you are familiar with the area, this is the Tom’s Place exit.
:::PACKING:::

:::RIDING:::
We provide a small saddle bag for trail necessities, limited to 3 lbs. includes your lunch.
Rain jackets and pants or slicker (rolled up you can tie them to the back of your saddle)
“GoreTex Jacket and Pants. A lightweight set is sufficient and heavy bulky clothing is unnecessary. Side zips on the pants should be long enough to slide over boots. Jacket must have a hood. Do not skimp on your rain gear. Nylon ponchos are not acceptable.”
??A day pack. It should be large enough to take water, extra clothing, rainwear, camera, etc during the days.

stout canvas or nylon duffels; side zipper recommended, ideal size approximately 14″ x 32″
large plastic bag INSIDE of the duffle to protect from moisture
