I recently learned how to play a double bass, and my friends and I formed a band called Krewe Askew. Our first gig was on Fat Tuesday so we played 2 sets of Mardi Gras songs. I was so thrilled to see a couple of our friends make the trek to Rutledge, Georgia just to see us play!

I might have to get a new camera if I want to keep recording the band. My big DSLR cameras are great for still photographs, but even with an external Rhode microphone, the audio quality is about the worst! It’s so discouraging to drag out all the equipment, only for the phone video recordings to be so much more stellar!
