We made the skeletons from cardboard, paper mache’, a tomato cage, and a whole lot of duct tape. Limbs are painted bamboo. This years 2015 theme, Johnny & June Carter Cash. June’s wig is a new addition this year, made out of toilet paper rolls that I saved up for the last 2 years. I strung them together and sewed the strings onto a little cap that I made. Hot glue just melted the type of fabric I was using, so I had to sew them. Then I painted it brown with black highlights. The cap is Velcro-ed on so we can easily remove it for another wig, hat, scarf, or whatever.
It was so much fun to have people swarm you to have pictures taken with you, but we could hardly get back to the car after the parade.
